Jakarta Governor, Djarot Syaiful Hidayat positively welcomes the flat tower construction with concept of Transit Oriented Development (TOD) at Tanjung Barat Station.

The flat construction that is in cooperation between Perum Perumnas with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) is expected to encourage motorists to switch to public transport.

"I welcome because it will encourage residents to switch to mass transportation, particularly train," he expressed, on the sidelines of a groundbreaking for the flat tower construction with concept of Transit Oriented Development (TOD) at Tanjung Barat Station, South Jakarta, Tuesday (8/15).

At the same place, Perum Perumnas President Director, Bambang Triwibowo uttered, the same concept will also be made at other stations gradually. 

He added, the flat building itself would have three towers or 1,232 units above Tanjung Barat Station occupying a 15,244-square-meter land. Each tower will have 29 floors by spending approximately Rp 705 billion.
